Lanternstack, also called Lantern, is an observability service operated by Corporacion Rho Tau S.A (“we”, “us” or “our”). These terms apply to our website at lanternstack.sh and the associated application, ingestion endpoints and APIs.
1. Your agreement with us
By creating an account, placing an order or using Lantern, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. If you act for a company or team, you confirm that you have permission to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
A separate written agreement or order agreed with us takes priority where it conflicts with these terms. Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal information, and our refund policy explains cancellation and refunds.
2. The service and early access
Lantern helps teams ingest, investigate and query OpenTelemetry traces and metrics, including through read-only MCP tools. Available features, capacity and data retention depend on the plan or access arrangement agreed with you.
Early access features can change, be interrupted or be withdrawn. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, there is no guaranteed uptime, support response time or recovery commitment. Keep copies of data you need outside Lantern.
3. Accounts and access keys
Provide accurate account details and protect your passwords and keys. You are responsible for the people you authorize, your workspace settings and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Only access workspaces and data you have permission to use.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Lantern to break the law or violate another person’s rights. Do not send malware, attack or disrupt the service, evade usage limits, attempt to access another customer’s data, or test security without our prior permission. Do not misrepresent your identity or use the service to distribute unlawful content.
5. Your data and integrations
You retain ownership of the telemetry and other content you submit. You give us permission to receive, store, process and display it as needed to operate, secure and support Lantern for you. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit that data, including any required notices and consents.
Remove passwords, access tokens, payment card details and unnecessary personal or sensitive information before sending telemetry. Contact us before submitting data that requires a separate data processing agreement or special legal safeguards.
If you connect an AI assistant or another third-party tool, you authorize it to access the data permitted by the credentials you provide. You are responsible for that choice and the provider’s terms. Review query results and AI output before relying on them.
6. Paid plans, renewal and cancellation
For a paid plan, the price, currency, taxes, billing interval, usage allowances and any recurring charges will be shown at checkout or in your order before you commit. Recurring plans renew for the stated billing interval until canceled. You authorize the disclosed charges for the plan you choose.
You can cancel renewal by emailing info@rhotau.net before your next renewal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless you request immediate closure. Deleting an integration or stopping ingestion does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.
Free or early access does not automatically become a paid subscription without your agreement. We will notify you before a price change affects a renewal so you can cancel first.
7. Suspension and closure
We may restrict or suspend access to address a security risk, unlawful activity, unpaid charges or a material breach of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the issue and give you an opportunity to resolve it. You may request account closure by email. Export data you need before access ends; data remains subject to the applicable retention settings and deletion process.
8. Lantern’s intellectual property
We and our licensors retain the rights to Lantern’s software, branding and website. Your access allows you to use the service under these terms and does not transfer ownership. Any third-party or open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
9. Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Lantern is provided as available without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. We do not accept liability for indirect losses, lost profit or lost business opportunities. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us for it in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or any applicable mandatory consumer protections.
10. Updates and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date above identifies the current version. We will give notice of material changes before they apply, except where an earlier change is required by law or necessary to address an urgent security issue. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and cancel renewal.
For questions, account requests or disputes, contact Corporacion Rho Tau S.A at info@rhotau.net. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies you have under applicable law.
